Crowns are one of the most appealing and distinctive details in any home. The character and tone of any room is established with the ornate pattern of the crown. Sprung crown molding is where the crown does not meet the ceiling at a 90 degree angle, but actually goes against the ceiling, curving upward. The back does not go all the way into the corner, but is angled.
